From the ice rinks of Stockton to the national spotlight, LD's own Brooke Bryant is skating home with history in tow. On Wednesday, July 16th, Bryant returned to Irvine, proudly carrying the Walter Cup—the ultimate prize in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL).
Born in Stockton and raised in Linden, Bryant’s roots run deep. She sharpened her skills on the ice with the Stockton Colts boys' team, then rose through the ranks with the Anaheim Lady Ducks and Linden High School, blazing a trail all the way to Minnesota State University. Her fierce talent and relentless drive earned her a spot with PWHL Minnesota, where she made history as the first California-raised player in the league.
Now a two-time Walter Cup champion (2024 and 2025), Bryant has become a rising star in professional women’s hockey—and a symbol of what's possible for young athletes. The Walter Cup, created by Tiffany & Co., represents a powerful new chapter in the sport.
Congratulations Brooke!
