2018-2019 Scored five goals and added 10 assists for 15 points in 31 games, scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-4 win over Quinnipiac on Feb. 2, one day after scoring a goal and adding an assist in a 4-3 loss to Princeton. Led the team and ranked fifth in ECAC Hockey with a .570 faceoff winning percentage. Earned ECAC Hockey All-Academic honors.
2017-2018 Had a breakout season as a junior, centering the Saints second line and posting career highs in goals (8), assists (12) and points (20), played in every game for the third consecutive season, ranked second on the team with a .530 faceoff percentage, led the team's forwards with 32 blocked shots. Scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory at Yale on Nov. 4, posted six multi-point games, including two goals in a 5-4 loss to Lindenwood in Anaheim, California, on Jan. 5, and a goal and two assists in a 5-0 win over Dartmouth in the last game of the regular season on Feb. 17. Assisted on the game-winning goal and then scored a key insurance tally in a 3-1 win over Quinnipiac in Game 1 of the ECAC Hockey quarterfinals on Feb. 23. Earned ECAC Hockey All-Academic honors.
2016-2017 Played in all 36 games as a sophomore, scored two goals and added seven assists for nine points on the season, blocked 35 shots, scored goals in wins over Vermont (Oct. 21) and Brown (Nov. 19).
2015-2016 Played in all 38 games as a rookie, scoring four goals and adding six assists for 10 points, scored her first career goal in a 3-2 loss to Clarkson on Oct. 3, Also scored goals against Boston College on Oct. 12, Cornell on Dec. 4 and Union on Feb. 5, registered an assist against Cornell on Dec. 4 for her first career multi-point game, assisted on the game-winning goal in the Saints’ 4-3 overtime win over Princeton to advance to the ECAC Hockey Tournament Semifinals.
Prior to St. Lawrence Nielsen captained her ice hockey team and was an honor roll student throughout high school.
